NXP Mifare DesFire 2K/DESFire 4K/DESFire 8K is the contactless IC card which is made under NXP MF3 IC D21 or NXP MF3 IC D41 or MF3 IC D81(NXP Mifare DESfire EV1 D21/D41/D81). Usually it is called DESFire2K/4K/8K according to ISO14443A. The UID has four bytes. The storage capacity is 4K. The data can be protected by electronic key. MIFARE DESFire EV1 is based on open global standards for both air interface and cryptographic methods. It is compliant to all 4 levels of ISO/IEC 14443A and uses optional ISO/IEC 7816-4 commands.
Mifare DESFire D21, Mifare DESFire D41, Mifare DESFire D81 chip belongs to Mifare DESFire EV1 series in a kind of, or called MF3. Compared with the existing MF1 series chips, Mifare DESFire EV1 technology is more mature and reliable.
